Frequently Asked Questions

Who is actually paying?

The data partner, such as Micro1 or Mode, pays your firm directly under a written agreement. They supply de-identified data to AI labs and enterprises. We are only a referral partner, so no money passes through us.

Why would anyone pay for this?

AI companies are training agents to help with everyday office work. Public web data shows finished answers, but it doesn’t show how decisions get made. Licensed company records do.

How much could my firm receive?

Micro1 publishes a range of $100K to $3M+, and Mode publishes $100K to $5M. After you apply, they will reach out to you. You can speak with them to see if you qualify, what data you are willing to license to them, and how much they can pay direct to your business. You can use the funds in any way to help your business grow. There is no loan, no interest, no equity, nothing to pay back. Offers depend on your history, volume, quality and rights. Your firm may receive less, or may not qualify.

Does this cost anything?

Applying is free, and Mode says it charges no broker fee. Read your contract carefully, and budget for your own legal advice.

Is this a loan or an investment?

No. It’s a license or sale of an agreed data copy, so it isn’t described as equity or debt. Ask your accountant how the payment would be taxed.

Will my client or staff names be shared?

Both partners say personal and identifying details are removed or transformed before the data reaches buyers. Ask how the de-identification process works, review samples, and agree the scope.

Do we keep our records?

Both partners say so. Micro1 says you retain ownership of your underlying data, and Mode says your originals stay with you.

What about our duties to clients?

IT firms often hold client systems data, credentials and code under contract. Check your client agreements first, keep credentials and client code out of scope unless you have the rights, and only include records your firm has the right to license.

Do we qualify?

Firms with 11 or more office staff can apply. Office staff means people whose work leaves a digital record, such as email, chat and tickets, rather than people working away from a computer. Published minimums are often higher: Micro1 lists 30+ full-time employees, and Mode’s figures vary by industry. Several years of records, mainly in English, help. Each partner decides for itself.

How long does it take?

Expect roughly two to three months from first conversation to payment. Micro1 allows up to 30 days to review delivered data and pays within 30 days of invoicing. Mode generally expects about three months.

Why are you recommending this?

Many businesses would greatly benefit from a cash injection. This is a simple way for you to monetize your operational data and get paid 6–7 figures. Once you qualify and have submitted your data to Micro1 (recommended) or Mode (backup data partner), they will pay you directly into your business bank account. You can use these funds in any way you want to grow your business such as: pay off debts, advertising, marketing, hiring new staff, payroll, expanding your offering, etc.*
